Doctor, Doctor
I took my own advice and have made an appointment to see Dr Quack. 11:40 - by my reckoning it’ll be 10 minutes after the last sympton clears up.
I ended up walking to the surgery to make the appointment as getting through on the phone proved impossible (and the online appointment booker seems to have been removed from the website).
“Can I help you?”
“Yes, I’d like an appointment to see Doctor Quack.”
“You don’t have one?”
“No, I’ve walked over because I couldn’t get through on the phone. I suppose I could do with the exercise.”
“Yes, that’s our cunning plan.”
“Aha - so you admit it! Will you put that in writing?”
“No. Sorry.”
I was hoping that, seeing as how I was standing there in the surgery, I’d be given an earlier appointment than two and a half hours later but it was not to be.
Oh well, it’s a lovely day so I think I’ll stroll back over to see what Quackers says.
