It’s tough, being a trend setter

Out of the goodness of my heart I agreed to work 7 weeks’ notice rather than the contractual 4.

Clearly inspired by my decision to leave, half a dozen others have secured jobs in other parts of the Evil Overlords’ vast empire, leaving the department over the past couple of Fridays or, like me, on Wednesday.

This led to the following IM exchange with Splodger (who’s one of the six*):

Lionel: I shouldn’t have agreed to working those extra three weeks. It’s costing me a fortune.
Splodger: In travel costs?
Lionel: No, in collections!

I have. at least, had fun on their cards by criticising their lack of loyalty. :-)
