“What? Oh. Yes. I was trying to sleep off a headache.”
“Yes, I thought there was something wrong when you didn’t hear me knock.”
“AND YET YOU RANG THE FUCKING BELL!”
I didn’t say that, of course, but sometimes I despair about my neighbours.
