Unless the Abbey were always “run by idiots - for idiots”…

I remember Abbey as a Building Society/Savings Bank, so maybe they never quite made it to being a _real bank_ (in terms of competence) and it isn’t the fault of Santander at all.

I’d steer clear of A&L in the short-term nevertheless.

PS. In case it’s not clear:- Do not give any of your money to Abbey
