It’s all my own fault (apparently)

August 29th, 2006 Posted in Mundane musings

An appointment today with Dr Quack to review the HappyPillsTM.

“How are you feeling?”

Well, that’s not easy to say, is it? I mean, is it me or is it the pills?

“Good point.”

We agreed a course of weaning myself off the HappyPillsTM over the next three weeks.

I don’t suppose there’s something you could give me that would help with these shaky hands?

I explained that although my hands had been superbly still when I was first taking the HappyPillsTM but that recently I’d noticed a degree of shakiness returning.

“Let me see.”

….

“Have you increased your caffeine intake recently?”

Ah.” Maybe I should cut down on my intake of double strong cappuchinos from the new orifice’s vending machine. With hindsight, four double cups a day is a little on the high side.

Is thata lot of coffee? I had a triple before 9 a.m.

Hey, are you fuh sher you are wanting a wean? I mean, how do you know when you are ready? OPr if you are ever?
My Quack said if you had trauma you can consider it after 90 days and if you had no trauma and have a general state of the craps it could be forever. What say you, Wise One?

Lionel: It’s quite a lot more caffeine for me all of a sudden for me, Dyna. As for the weaning, how do you know if you’re not ready? There’s no way I want it to be forever and there’s nly one way to find out (a view confirmed by Quacky).
